Shoots Exteriors was founded by Sam Schutte, a student-athlete at Calvin University

studying Business. Sam grew up around the green industry and has over a decade of

hands-on experience in landscaping, exterior maintenance, and home service work. The

business started with real experience alongside his dad’s landscape company back in

Idaho, and the name “Shoots” is a tribute to that legacy because it was his father’s original

company name.

Today, Shoots Exteriors is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan and focuses on premium

exterior cleaning services including window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and holiday light

installation. Our goal is to give homeowners a reliable, professional, and stress-free

experience from the first quote to the final walkthrough.

From the beginning, Sam has been extremely selective with who joins the team. Shoots is

small by design because we care more about quality, communication, and consistency

than doing as many jobs as possible. Every technician is expected to treat each home with

the same care and respect they would give their own.

When the time was right, Sam brought on his longtime best friend, Brandon Meyers, to

help oversee operations and customer service. Brandon’s work ethic, attention to detail,

and commitment to doing things the right way made him the clear choice to help carry the

standard Shoots was built on.

work, and stand behind the finished product. We take pride in the little details, from

cleaning the glass, frames, sills, and screens to making sure the customer feels confident

throughout the entire process.
